Rural Water Operator Position
Dakota Rural Water District is seeking a qualified Water Operator. Duties of this position will include general maintenance and operation of Dakota Rural Water District facilites; repairing waterline breaks; water meter replacement; mowing grass at reservoir sites; taking care of operation and maintenance of water treatment plants and booster reservoirs; working with chemicals; shop work and painting.
Applicant must be able to go into confined spaces. Must be able to work holidays, weekends and middle of the night due to a water break, etc. applicant should have general knowledge of electrical equipment. Once the applicant is trained, they will be required to be on call a number od days each month. Some knowledge of the area would be helpful.
Applicant must have a valid drivers license; be self- motivated, honest, dependable, and have good communication skills. Wage based on experience.
